Hi, I’m Karan. I’m a Staff Software Engineer at Zepto in Bengaluru. Most of my career has been on the systems that move money and inventory — UPI at Paytm, wallets and lending at Grab, and now the finance, catalog, and infrastructure platforms at Zepto. What I care about: distributed systems that stay boring under load, cost as a first-class engineering constraint, and the odd new shape of building software with LLMs. That last one is slowly taking up a growing share of both my day job and my evenings.

Outside work, I build small things: tools I wanted for myself, AI skills and prompts I actually use, and prototypes that may or may not go anywhere. I put them here.
